Terms of Service

1. Purpose

These Terms of Service govern access to and use of TheFinanceRoom, a marketplace connecting finance candidates, finance professionals and selected company users for interview preparation, CV review and expert advisory opportunities.

2. Platform role

TheFinanceRoom operates as a marketplace and technical intermediary. Interviewers and advisers act independently. TheFinanceRoom does not employ interviewers, does not represent employers, and does not guarantee any job offer, interview result, promotion, admission or professional outcome.

TheFinanceRoom does not provide investment advice, trading signals, portfolio recommendations, legal advice, tax advice or regulated financial promotion. Sessions and content are for educational interview preparation only.

3. Accounts

Users must provide accurate and current account information. TheFinanceRoom may restrict, suspend or close accounts that provide misleading information, create security risk, breach these Terms or harm marketplace trust.

Users may have one account with several enabled surfaces, including candidate use, interviewer visibility, advisory visibility and admin access where expressly granted.

4. Acceptable use

Users agree to:

• use the platform lawfully and in good faith;
• respect employer, client, school and candidate confidentiality obligations;
• avoid harassment, discrimination, fraud, spam and abusive conduct;
• not request or provide confidential employer questions, internal interview scripts, restricted documents or employer secrets;
• not make or rely on guaranteed outcome claims;
• not bypass the platform for payments, booking or direct solicitation where TheFinanceRoom provides those features.

5. Marketplace integrity

Bookings, payments, relevant session messages and dispute handling must remain on TheFinanceRoom. The platform may warn, redact or flag messages containing contact details, external payment requests or other circumvention signals.

6. Content and profiles

Users are responsible for the information they submit. Interviewer profiles may be public, semi-anonymous or private depending on account settings and platform rules. Exact current employer names should only be displayed where the user has chosen to disclose them and is permitted to do so.

7. AI features

TheFinanceRoom may provide AI-assisted profile generation, matching, support, quality review, feedback summaries and content tools. AI output may be inaccurate and must be reviewed by users before reliance. AI does not make final employment, refund, suspension or legal decisions.

8. Session recording and transcription

Where disclosed before the session, meetings may be recorded or transcribed for attendance verification, internal quality assessment, dispute prevention, safety and compliance. Raw transcripts are not intended for public display and should be deleted after internal assessment unless a legal, fraud, accounting or dispute reason requires limited retention.

9. Intellectual property

TheFinanceRoom, its brand, software, interface, content and documentation are owned by TheFinanceRoom or its licensors. Users retain rights in lawful content they provide, while granting TheFinanceRoom the rights necessary to host, display, process and secure that content for platform operation.

10. Availability

TheFinanceRoom may modify, suspend or interrupt all or part of the platform for maintenance, security, legal, provider or operational reasons. TheFinanceRoom will use reasonable efforts to limit disruption where practical.

11. Liability

Users remain responsible for their own preparation, decisions and use of information obtained through the platform. TheFinanceRoom is not responsible for independent interviewer statements or conduct except where mandatory law provides otherwise.
